Grievances Redressal Committee

Mandate/Purpose: To ensure that all grievances are timely redressed with fair and acceptable decisions. The process is carried out confidentially, emphasizing procedural fairness, the right to be heard, and the right to be treated without bias.

Objectives:

• To support students who are deprived of the services offered by the Institute, for which he/she is entitled.

• To make the staff responsive, accountable, and courteous in dealing with the students.

• To ensure an effective solution to student’s grievances related to academic matters with an impartial and fair approach.

• To evaluate complaints received and to judge its gravity.

• To provide a fearless environment to express grievances/problems freely and frankly.

Grievances Addressed:

• Grievances related to Academic matters: Grievances pertaining to teaching methodology, teaching-learning process, syllabus completion, examination outcomes, delay in conduct of examinations or declaration of results, assessment methodologies, non-transparent or unfair evaluation practices, and quality education.

• Grievances related to Non-Academic matters: Grievances pertaining to discrimination by students from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, OBC, women, minority or disabled categories, provision of student amenities, ragging, sexual harassment, and grievances related to classroom and other facilities.

Mechanism:

• An online grievance submission facility is available for students at: www.snpitrc.ac.in/StudentLogin.aspx

• Upon receiving complaints/grievances, they are forwarded to the concerned head, and corrective measures are discussed by the committee. Remedial steps are taken with a fair decision in a timely manner.
